First summer CSA pickup is June 5th!

Hi everyone, it’s Chris the farm apprentice here.

I’m posting to remind you that our CSA will begin in the first week of June. That’s just 2 weeks away! You can choose between 2 CSA pickup times & locations:

  • Tuesday from 5:30 pm to 7 pm, in the driveway at 75 Marshall St in Providence [map]
  • Wednesday afternoon, 4pm to 5:30pm, at the farm in Johnston, 544 Greenville Avenue [map]

If you haven’t done so yet, please let us know which pickup you’ll be coming to — send us an email or give us a call/text at 401.273.0914. But we’re flexible, so if you need to change for one week or for the rest of the summer and fall, just let us know by the Tuesday morning before that pickup.

It’s too early to say exactly what will be in the first share, but you can count on some cooking greens (which could be any/all of these: red russian kale, chard, spinach, nettles, mustard greens) and spring salad mix (options/ingredients may include: many different lettuces, mizuna, tatsoi, arugula, and more), plus some herbs, some alliums (the “onion” family of plants), some roots, and other possibilities… I’ll post here again when I know more!

If you have any more questions about how this works, feel free to leave a comment on this post, or get in touch at 401.273.0914 or You can find lots more information about the CSA by clicking on “CSA 2012” at the top of this page, or by reading our CSA pamphlet (PDF).

We’re excited to start sharing our veggies with you again!

  1. Super excited too! Thanks for letting us know and hoping the heat hasn’t been enough to drive the greens to flowering!
